Course Overview

Community Health Assistant (CHA) is a health course which entails equipping trainees with relevant skills, knowledge, and experience with the aim of ensuring a competent health officer at the community level.

CHA roles among others are to provide primary health care services, i.e., immunization, health education and promotion, training of health volunteers, maternal and child health services at the household level, community needs assessment, disease prevention and control, outreach services, family planning services, referral services, and water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programs to the community to ensure access and availability of health care to all.

  • KCSE Certificate of E and above
  • Applicant must be 18 years and Above
